Rumbustification day

On Friday we had like a fun day thingy and we got cool photos and face paints. I got a hello kitty face paint and I got some photos of me, Melody and Kaylee. Then I went into our class and jumped on gym mattress.

Camp reflection

Success

For orienteering we had to use a map to find patterns on numbers.  I worked with Otis and found all the numbers, even though I grazed my knee looking for number 2.

Self-managing

I enjoyed the beach explore.  I saw a itty-bitty spotted fish and interesting shells.  I saw a hermit crab and a sea urchin.  I managed myself safely down on the beach, looking at the different things in the environment.

Resilience

It was hard to climb back up from the beach but I didn't moan about it and I didn't give up.

Belonging

It helped me to manage when the teacher let me stay inside when it felt too much.  I helped in the kitchen chopping lettuce for the lunches

Adrenaline Sports/Activities in NZ

Bungy Jumping started when a lady was falling and got caught in a vine that saved her life. When you start to jump your ankles will get tied up really tight so your feet don't flip off and so you don't fall to your death. It's a struggle jumping because it might be scary for you if you're scared of heights but if you're not all allgoods. When you jump the bungy line will pull you back up but not all the way up it will slowly bounce you slower and slower and when you reach the bottom a plastic boat will come under you and lower you on to the boat and then the people on the boat will lay you on you back and unity the bungee cord from your feet and they will drive you back to where you were.

Food

To lay down a hangi it involves you to dig a pit in the ground and put stones in the pit with fire so the rocks get heated to make it a large fire then you place a basket of food on the stones and cover everything with earth for several hours before uncovering.

Whitebait is a collective term for immature fry or fish the length of one is 1 and 2 inches long and they travel in schools like other fishes do. They travel along the coast and move into estuaries and sometimes up rivers were they can be easily catched by some fishing nets 

 

Sports

Soccer is one of the sports we play were at New Zealand and you can play it at your house in your back lard and you can join a club and play against other kids or if your an adult you can join a club too and then you go against adults and if you get good enough you can play a real game with hundreds of spectators  if you're looking for a soccer ball to get so you can play or practice just so to a sport shop and you can find soccer balls and rugby balls and all types of things sports wise. We also play rugby and we have one of the beat rugby team and that is the all blacks there really good at rugby but rugby can also be a really dangerous sport because lots of injuries happen playing rugby like broken bones or concussions and there's a possibility you might get a dislocated joints

7k challenge to Spencer park

On the 14th of June we went on a 7km walk to Spencer park. It was painful when we got to half way there because I rolled my ankle. Then Sharon had to look in the first aid kit for a bandage but there was none so I had to deal with it. When we got there I had a sausage and it was yum and I played on the swings. I had fun and my legs still hurt.

 In literacy i haven't been  doing much because I usually don't listen which means I don't really do my work. But we are  trying to learn how to write an article. We are writing an article about new Zealand for families moving here.

Te Reo Māori

In Te Reo Māori we have been learning how to say hi in Maori to one person which is Tēnā koe. To greet two people it is Tēnā korua. To three people it is Tēnā koutou. To say good job it is Ka pai to mahi.

Tech

 Today at tech I did electronics. It was boring because the old man wouldn't stop yelling at me and it annoyed me so I was about to leave. After we had morning tea. Then after morning tea I did cooking and we made sausage rolls and it had no meat so it tasted ew.

Te Ao Maori

On Tuesday I weaved some flax to make a big square or a mat. To weave you have to go over and under with the flax. I made this mat with Jakiya. Mr Redmend taught me how to weave flax.

TODAY AT TECH

today at tech i did robotics and it was boring we made robots and as  we I mean me Jake and dexter
and we program that to Autopilot ans there was a supersonic sensor that followed a black line on the floor and then we had morning tea and we went to baking class we made breakfast muffins with a lot of cheese and bacon and I don't know why it was called breakfast muffins even though I had veggies and you don't have veggies for breakfast I can't remember the ingredients but we had to bake it for 25 minutes and then  we win on the bus and went back to school.

what i did at tech today

today at tech I did robotics we and an  battle bot me and Dexter and we put arms on it and made it have some cool wheels with tracks on it the wheel with a Tyre with black tracks around it and red dots on the tracks and then I got kicked out of the group because I wasn't listening. then we moved on to cooking group we made like a muesli bar breakfast in a jar we had to cook oats for like 15 minutes then we cut up apples while we're waiting for the muesli to cook you had a choice to boil the apples to make it Moshy but me Dexter and Jake didn't want to so we just left the apples in the Jar I was the only one who added blueberries in my muesli we had everything ready I put them some of the muesli and then some apples than two scoops of yoghurt then some more muesli and some more apples and then two more scoops of of yoghurt and then i finished after that we tidied up and got ready to eat we lined up for the bus and then we left.

 Today at gymnastics I was in a group with Nick and other people. First we did a thing were there were 3 dots on the ground and they were red orange purple. I made i t to red witch was the hardest and purple was the easy and orange was medium.

Today at tech I did robotics and we made the ev3   and programmed it to pick up buildings made out of Lego.
